Scientists may have observed, for the first time, the destruction of a young
planet or planets around their host star.

*Britain to build its own spaceport in Scotland
Britain is set to build its own spaceport for vertical launch vehicles at
Sutherland on the north coast of Scotland.

*August skywatch
One of the oldest known meteor showers - the Perseids -- reaches its climax
this month with around sixty meteors an hour being visible on the night of
August 12.
